I’m excited to share this engagement session from last year here on my blog – I haven’t been shooting as many engagements recently and working on this post, I realized how much I miss them! So, anyone getting married soon? Lemme shoot your engagement session!
Kelsey, Austin and I wandered around Klondike Park in Augusta last November, about a week after the leaves had turned. We hiked wayyyyy up to the top of the hill? mountain? Whatever it is that overlooks the rest of the park, which is beautiful and embarrassingly, a pretty good indicator that this gal is fairly out of shape. Once we (ahem, I mean me) composed ourselves, we chatted about the New Years’ Eve wedding they were planning as well as a ton of other random things, like what happens when you try to store jello shots in your pocket to bring them to the St. Paddy’s day parade downtown (spoiler alert, nothing good happens). Kelsey and Austin told me the story of how he proposed, which was so sweet and thoughtful – he surprised her in their backyard with all of their family around.
Kelsey and Austin BOTH have the most adorable dimples and we had a ton of fun giggling and joking around. I was so excited about this that I almost fell off of my stool. Several times. So that was pretty professional and cool of me. There were also these giant ass birds at the top of that cliff and anyone who knows me knows that I am terrified of birds. So I may or may not have played that off pretty cool as well. Who knows. I looked like a lunatic, but it kept them laughing and that’s what matters to me.
Check out Kelsey and Austin’s session at Klondike Park below, and enjoy! Stay tuned for highlights from their wedding, coming soon.
