One great thing about quarantine is that I’ve had a tonnnnnn of time to look back through old work and plan more blog posts! Blogging more often has certainly been on my list of “things to do” for quite a while now, and, if nothing else, this extended vacation situation has allowed me to get that checked off the list. So, today we’re throwing it wayyyyyyyyy back. Back to yesteryear, or, December 2018, to be specific. We did a couple of events with AATR that I’m pumped to finally be sharing; the first of these was florals and decor for the Perfect Wedding Guide Vendor’s Choice Awards, or as we affectionately call them, the Vendy’s. Jody created this amazing tropical vibe at Innovation Hall in the CWE- it was just what we needed in the middle of December, when it was beyond freezing outside. Giant palm and monstera leaf centerpieces were alternated with potted orchids and other tropicals, and can we talk about the linens for one minute? Yes, thank you – she chose a coral matte satin, which, as usual, was totally ahead of the trend (Pantone named Living Coral as the color of the year like, four days later) paired with a beautiful watercolor floral that is so, so stunning and was a total game changer. Accented by pine chargers, badass fuchsia napkins and rose gold flatware, the decor was completely on point. A++++++, as usual. Check it out below!

The following week, we did our last wedding of the year, which was, of course, a stunner as well! It was a glamorous and Christmas-themed ceremony and reception that was full of white flowers, black details, emerald greens and silver accents that looked amazing in the Statler Ballroom at the Marriott Grand. Their ceremony, which took place at Graham Chapel at Washington University, was decorated simply, with white arrangements accented by a garland of Christmas greens along the aisle, which allowed the natural beauty of the space (and its stained glass) to really pop! This was the first event I shot with my new Canon Mark IV, which was also exciting. Christmas weddings are quickly becoming my new favorite thing, and I’m so excited to share this one, below!
