So, it’s finally starting to feel like winter here in St. Louis (um yes, it is January, I am aware) and after the few inches of snow we got this weekend, I started reminiscing about Claire & Dylan’s big day last February – can’t believe it’s almost been a whole year! Anyway, they had just enough snow that day to make things beautiful but not a total pain in the butt logistically, and this photog was super happy about that. However, it was freeeeeeeezing outside but they were troopers and braved the elements for long enough to get some adorable-with-a-capital-A couples portraits that I’m pretty much obsessed with.
OH AND ALSO they had the most adorable first look filled with giggles and it was amazing. And then, Dylan put on Claire’s fur capelet and told me he was King of the North and I was like, ohmygosh I love you and your future wife and my job, how is this happening.
I had so much fun getting to know them and learning all about how they went from Coffee Meets Bagel to a darling meet-cute (yes they taught me what that meant) to getting engaged at Disney World with a ring that Dylan had custom-made with the stone from his mom’s engagement ring! They’re huge Disney fans and included quite a variety of Disney references in their ceremony, which was like, my favorite thing ever. Overall, it was a truly incredible wedding, filled with joy and love and Disney and Mallort (I didn’t know what that was either, but evidently, it’s gross and they have a running inside joke about it!) and all kinds of good vibes. Claire and Dylan, thank you so much for including me in your big day – it was such a pleasure to witness the love you two share and I am so grateful for the opportunity to photograph it!! Nowwwww without further adieu, check out this awesome dreamy winter wedding at Silver Oaks!
